Nathaniel has been practicing law for over a decade in the Chicago area. He has prosecuted and defended claims in both state and federal court. He has also represented clients in a wide variety of forums, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Labor, the Illinois Department of Insurance, the Illinois Court of Claims, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Cook County Department of Administrative Hearings.  He has also represented clients in mediation and arbitration settings.

Nathaniel's vast array of experience includes legal matters across a number of disciplines. His litigation experience includes representing clients in connection with claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, professional negligence and fraud.

Nathaniel has also represented clients in connection with their employment law issues, including charges of employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, recovery of lost wages, disability, professional license disciplinary actions, claims regarding  retirement, pension and disability benefits and negotiating employment contracts and severance packages.

Nathaniel also has experience involving real estate transactions and litigation.  Having represented clients in connection with real estate transactions gone bad, Nathaniel has the foresight to identify and address any potential issues while representing clients in connection with their real estate transactions.  

Nathaniel's family law experience includes representing clients for divorce, legal separation, parenting agreements, child support, spousal maintenance, child abuse or child rights, spousal maintenance, annulment, adoption, paternity disputes and complex asset division.  

Prior to starting the Tone Law Office, Nathaniel was an attorney with a boutique litigation firm in Chicago. As part of a smaller office, Nathaniel was able to assist many clients throughout the duration of their engagement, often seeing cases through from the very beginning until resolution. This familiarity with the process allows him to be effective and efficient with his time while still procuring the best result for his clients. 

In his personal life, Nathaniel is an avid Chicago sports fan and lives in Park Ridge with his wife, three children and their dog Buehrle.
